Recollections of Pat Moody
By Valerie Hall
I first met Pat at the Institute of Advanced Motorists meeting near Canterbury, she drove her Celica I had an old estate car. We both passed the I.A.M. test.
After that when I live near her, she in middle St. me in South St. we would meet excersising dogs. She had taken on her deceased Mother’s ginger mongrel, I asked how old said mongrel was, her reply “she would not like you to know”
Over the years Pat came into Merrygardens to place orders for flowers for her much admired Queen Mother, sending appropriate messages
We would often meet with a glass in our hands at various gatherings in our unique town. We went to the theatre in Whitstable and recently at the funeral of Pip Dyer, Pat wearing her black leather outfit. I will miss another Deal character.
