Recollections of Pat Moody
A few thoughts and memories of Pat Moody, by Deryck Murray.
The first that comes to mind is when she presented me with a copy of her line drawing of John Ireland; presently in the Deal Maritime & Local History Museum. John Ireland was in the habit of visiting her mother at 11 o’clock in the morning for coffee and a ‘chat’. This gave Pat the opportunity to draw him.
Another memory was when we were in the audience of an adaption of a play by Shakespeare being performed in the moat of Walmer Castle. I happened to glance in Pat’s direction and seeing a rather pained look on her face enquired as to the reason. Her response, “I am not enjoying it”. A perfect example of her honesty.
There are other lovely memories; too many to recount
